Officials Registration

REGISTRATION FOR 2022-23 SEASON IS OPEN

Registration for the 2022-23 season will be opening soon. Please contact Hockey Saskatchewan's Coordinator of Officiating Development, Austin Penner (AustinP@HockeySask.ca), if you have any questions.

New Officials can start now with the required Hockey University Online Official Modules 1/2 by clicking here.

Shellbrook minor hockey has an on ice session scheduled for Tuesday Oct 4th from 7-9pm at the Richardson pioneer rec center.

Official Certification Requirements

Junior Officials 14 and Under as of December 31

*Hockey Canada recommends officials be 12 years old to start officiating so if younger please confirm with your local minor hockey association or check the on-ice sessions schedule to see the accepted minimum age in your community.

All Senior officials must provide a valid Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Those registered as Member High or National High-Performance Officials or those planning to work AAA, SJHL or U Sports hockey must complete fitness testing.

Level 9 - Inactive Official

This course is available for those who will not be on the ice this season and be serving just as an official coach/mentor, instructor or administrator.
